Love the table. It’s tiny for my 500 sq ft studio but sturdy and looks nice. Love that it can be folded in or out depending on the look that you want and the curve of the chairs fit like they are hugging the curve of the table. I like it so much I didn’t take any stars off for the assembly. Says it takes an hour but took more like 3 (I was watching Bloodline so this might’ve slowed me down). I'd give it 5 stars, but mine arrived with some minor defects in the finish on the top of one of the leaves. Considering that I'm planning on keeping that leaf down and next to the wall, I decided I don't mind. Assembly was easy (but I'm an engineer). I'd recommend getting a small power screwdriver because in addition to the bolts, there are 4 screws that need to be driven into each seat cushion. Everything seems solid once assembled and it's good for a small apartment like mine. I would suggest getting some felt floor protectors because the chair and table legs are just wood on the bottom.-- edit --The chairs turn out to be pretty uncomfortable for prolonged sitting. For the price this set is a great bargain and the materials and construction are better than more expensive furniture I've purchased (like the $250 TV stand with some of the flimsiest, cheapest "wood" I've ever seen...). I may be wrong but think all pieces are actual wood, not composite (the top may be composite but I don't so -- I haven't scratched/gouged it [yet] sufficiently to tell). The set is smallish (sorta reminds me of a "kiddy" set) but definitely large enough for adults and quite sturdy. The table easily holds 2 place settings and a couple of serving dishes or could seat 4 without additional pieces. The table is a snap to assemble. Have been using this for one day now. I can say:-Chairs and Table are sturdy.-Shipping weight was over 50 lbs. It seems to be real wood, not compressed particle stuff.-Bigger than I was expecting. I'm 6'4" and the chairs are small, but not too bad.-Seat is 16.5" tall (to the padded seat part). I couldn't find that dimension anywhere, however it seems to be just fine for me (6'4").-Packaging took a while to open. No damage to the contents.-Table was easy: attach 4 legs with a washer, lock washer, and nut and you are done.-Chairs were more involved, a second person would have been useful, but nothing too difficult by myself.-Took me about an hour to an hour and a half to open and assemble. We've recently been decorating the house and making it look more 'lived in' and this was a perfect addition to our dining room. My husband was able to put it together rather quickly despite the fact he has trouble with things like this normally, so that just goes to speak for how easy it is to assemble the table and chairs.As for how sturdy is it: I am a 380lb person and did not like how it felt on the carpet. I felt like it would be easier for me to break the chair but that's okay because as soon as we moved it to the dining room, on the hardwood floor, it felt just as sturdy as the more expensive dining set my in-laws have.The chairs are a little smaller, but they do get the job done and we are very happy with this purchase and would purchase it again. The package arrived on time, all pieces arrived intact and it was simple to put together. The set is as comfortable as noted in other reviews, fine for the span of a meal but do not plan on using this to work at unless you are 5' 7" or less. I cannot rate the overall quality of the product higher than three stars due to the finish issues. The surface is not smooth due to a number of significant pieces of material lodged in the final finish coat which included the tag attached to one of the legs requiring me to free it with a moist sponge. The material on the top surface cannot be sanded or chipped off without creating an visible impact to the finish. I am not returning as I do not wish to go through the hassle of the return process only to receive the same issues in a replacement.

This is an adorable little set. It is a small, real wood table that is a bit on the delicate side. I would not recommend this set for people on the heavier side. Also wouldn't recommend it for children. It fits a very small area nicely. I don't recommend setting a glass on it without a coaster as the finish will get a circle mark. Instructions are accurate but rather difficult to follow, so you need to look at the pictures VERY closely. The packaging was amazing. Really safely packed for shipping. I would buy this item again, but please remember the price you are paying for it. It's NOT going to be the quality or sturdiness of a more expensive set!

Just put this together in about an hour with someone helping me. This is absolutely a great value for a NYC apartment since it looks great, is functional and is compact.
