Reseña del editor Divine and Soul Theory decided to form a group in mid-2004 after collaborating on several tracks and realizing the potent chemistry between Divine's hard flow and thoughtful lyrics and Soul Theory's soul-inspired beat style. Divine and Soul Theory originally met in August 2003 in the UM Hip Hop Club. When Soul Theory played some beats at a club meeting, Divine took quick notice of Soul Theory's natural talent and professional quality and recruited him to produce several tracks on his second solo LP, 'P.E.A.C.E.', which sold over 100 copies, independently, around campus in the first few days after being released. Divine later returned the favor by dropping lyrics on several tracks on Soul Theory's debut production LP, titled 'The Definition', which was entirely produced by Soul Theory and featured several talented emcees. Realizing the potential behind their talents combined, on May 5, 2004, Divine and Soul Theory announced their decison to do a full length LP together on the Hip Hop Shop, 90.5 FM WVUM. The album, titled 'Divine Theory' finally dropped in April 2005.The album is a definite banger from beginning to end, so don't sleep on it.
