Viburnum nudum `Winterthur` one of the best viburnums available, This plant is known by few people but cherished by birds everywhere. One look at its dense, rounded form tells you that it is a great plant to provide cover & nesting area to a considerable group of our favorite birds. What you might not know is that birds are enthralled by the dark blue to black berries produced in the late summer as a result of big, fragrant, white colored April-May flower heads. Even better, 'Winterthur' Tolerates partial shade well while growing famously in a wide range of soils from dry to moist. 'Winterthur' Is perfect alone or in groups to create a bird friendly, American beauties hedge & it will take your breath away in the fall with a foliage show of crimson-purple color that must be seen to be appreciated. Grow tipsthrives in full sun. Fertilize yearly with an organic fertilizer. Prune in early summer right after bloom for size control & shaping.
