STANISLAW WISLOCKI The Polish conductor is shown from the chest up in this rare 4×6 black and white photograph. Inscribed Photograph signed: “To Mr. Julio Vidal/Stanislaw Wislocki/BA VII 67″B/w 4×6. Polish conductor Stanislaw Wislocki (1921-1998) was born in Rzeszow, Podkarpackie, Poland. He worked as director of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (1961-1967), director of the Symphony Orchestra of Radio and Television in Katowice, Poland (1978-1982) and was a professor at the National Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland. Around 1990 he became Music Director of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Venezuela. He won several prestigious awards including the Grand Prix du Disque and conducted music for seventeen films.
