Our 100% cotton Mochila Bags are hand-crocheted through an ancient, inctricate process said to have been inspired by the way a spider weaves its web. Each bag takes two full days to make. The bags are made in a region of region Colombia by the women of the Wayuu Tribe. There are very few options for work where the tribe lives, so selling Mochila Bags is an important livelihood for the women there. The sale of just one bag can mean food on the table for two weeks.
