The goatgrain leather is specialy treated for grip and comfort yet is thick enough to withstand heavy labor. Coats Nymo thread is used throughout the entire glove for extended durability and comfort. This glove was designed for electric utility field workers and lineman; however, it is truly versatile and functions in any application where durability, dexterity and comfort are required in your work glove. This glove will not drip, melt or ignite if exposed to sparks or flames. It is Arc Rated to 20 cal/cm2. This glove is not designed to protect against shock or voltage. Youngstown also uses their signature SuperSaddle on this glove design. The SuperSaddle is a 2nd layer of leather that extends over the entire index and thumb and across the palm. These 2nd layers of goatskin in the critical wear areas ensure lasting durability.
