John Delafose and the Eunice Playboys are among the foremost traditional zydeco bands playing today. Father John–who makes his recording debut as a fiddler on two songs here–alternates with son Geno on accordion and lead vocals, supported by the rollicking grooves of their family band. Here are traditional French two-steps and waltzes, along with several songs in the modern R&B zydeco style, all made for dancing and good times.
